Steps for attachment:
- Turn on your ironing machine to its highest heat setting to make sure the patch adheres properly to your fabric.
- Place your patch on the marked spot on your fabric, place a thin cloth on top of your patch, and iron for 30 seconds.
- Let it cool down for 30 seconds.
- Repeat steps 2 and 3 if the patch did not stick.
About the Flag
Belgium's classic tri-colour flag is based on the Duchy of Brabant's flag, which created the first independent Belgian state. Although short-lived, Belgium eventually retained its independence, establishing the national flag, which has remained the same since its creation in 1831.
Since then, Belgium has emerged from the ashes of World War I & II that devastated the country to become a cultural and economic nexus of Europe. Brussels, its capital, is known as one of the most important diplomatic centers globally, as it is the headquarters for both the European Union and NATO.
The Belgian flag's vertical tri-colour design was inspired by that of the flag of France. The Belgium flag's yellow, red, and black colors each represent the lion seals of several of the country's founding regions:
- Red - Hainaut, Limburg, and Luxembourg
- Yellow - Brabant
- Black - Flanders and Namur
